This is the Mac Limited Edition Vibe tribe collection I’ve been waiting for not so patiently if I’m honest! As soon as saw the previews I know I would want quite a few bits from the collection. I actually had to buy separate bits from the Mac store and online as well as Selfridges. So you may have already seen if you follow me on Instagram or you read my Selfridges post but this what I got…
This is Dunes At Dusk and is the Gleamtones Powder priced at £26.50. This is an amazing highlighter and will suit most skin tones including tanned or olive like myself. This lasted nearly all day so I was impressed. I’m glad I got this as I wasn’t sure to begin with.
I had to get all three blushes as the colours are just perfect for me. Left to right on the swatches is Modern Mandarin (peach tone), Adobe Brick (red tone) and Painted Canyon (pink tone). These are all buildable and so easy to use and wear. I found these lasted all day. They are priced at £20 each which I think is reasonable.
I got about 5 days out of Blazing Hot before chipping and I wore Skin for 3 days till I needed to change it to try a different varnish. Both are quite quick drying and I used two coats of Blazing Hot and three with Skin. With nude colours you normal have to use extra layers so I expected that anyway. Both have a very nice shiny finish that doesn’t dull with wear like some. For £11 each I loved them and will get a lot of use out of through the summer.
This was the biggest surprise item for me if I’m completely honest… The colour payoff was a lot better than I expected and there was no fall out that I saw! This is now my favourite eye palette because of those reasons. The colours are really versatile so can easily be used for a day or night look or quickly topped up to create a night look after work. These do have a sheen but are not over the top glittery. This palette is £27.50 and if you are looking for a new palette I’d highly recommend this one.
I’m going to bet you are surprised I only got one lipstick.. I was trying to be good unfortunately. This is a lustre lipstick in Pure Vanity which wouldn’t normally be my first choice but I actually loved this once I saw it in store. It’s a really moisturising lipstick so it does wear off quickly but that is normally the case with this type of finish. I love the colour for a beach look or summer day look. At £17 it’s not crazy expensive and I don’t have a colour like this so it was a no brainer to buy.
I did get swatches of the items from Mac Limited Edition Vibe tribe I didn’t buy that I’ll put below. Obviously I took them in store so they are not the best pictures I’m afraid.
