You may have seen in my Barcelona post that I picked up a Marc Jacobs The High Life eyeliner set. The Highlife: Essential Hues collection is a trio set was €20. It is still available at Sephora priced at $25.
The colours included are Blacquer, Ro(cocoa), and Sunset. These are all waterproof, gel eyeliners. They are free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
–When using the Highliner Gel Crayon, blend quickly—this product sets in 15 seconds.
-It pairs beautifully with Style Eye-Con shadows or Magic Marc’er to blend and smudge.
-Apply Blacquer and lightly smudge for a casual, smoky look.
–After each use, cap the eyeliner to preserve long-wearing properties.
Marc Jacobs The High Life really do dry fast like it says on Sephora! I found I had to apply on one eye then smudge straight away. If I waited till I had lined both eyes it was nearly impossible to work with. The black (Blacquer) is great as a regular eyeliner or as part of a smokey eye look provided you work fast. The brown/ bronze (Ro) is really nice for a softer look especially coming into Autumn now. The golden (Sunset) is great to use on the inner eye to brighten or as part of a smokey look.
Here’s some swatches in different lighting. I wear contacts and these were fine for me to use. Sometimes eyeliner with any kind of shimmer can irritate them. For example Lord and Berry glitter liner is a no-no. These don’t drop or smudge though and lasted all day.
If you prefer to try these in the UK you are in luck….
If you cannot get the Marc Jacobs The High Life Harrods currently has these 7 piece sets in stock for only £32! The Sky-Liner includes Express-Oh, Boys & Berry, Blacquer, In The Buff, (Wave) length, Ody (sea), and (Stone) fox. The set comes in a lovely Marc Jacobs pouch. I’m incredibly tempted to get them especially for such a good price.
If anyone needs to get a fellow makeup addict a present I’d recommend having a look at these.
