Hands up I was late to the Becca craze unfortunately! I did get there eventually though…with Becca Glow On The Go.
I got my Becca Glow On The Go Shimmering Skin Perfector set from Sephora but it is also available from Cult Beauty and it’s priced at only £20. Personally I absolutely love minis so I’m glad I picked this up.
First up is Becca Spotlight Opal. The full sized is available from Cult Beauty and SpaceNK priced at £34 for 50ml.
This is how the site says to use it:
Apply as a base over the entire face.
Mix with a small amount of Luminous Skin Colour for a radiant complexion.
Apply all over the face, then swirl Mineral Powder Foundation on all over the face for a “glow from within” look.
Use to highlight cheekbones, brow bones, and temples by dabbing over foundation and powder for an extra-dewy look.
For maximum shimmer and radiance, apply over a primer and leave skin unpowdered.
I’m not brave enough to use this all over my face so I used it as a liquid highlighter- sparingly. I used lightly to highlight my cheekbones and used a tiny amount. It was easy to apply on top of my foundation before powder.
As you can see it’s super pigmented so you get a lot of usage for your money. Spotlight Opal contains antioxidant vitamins A, B, D and E. It is also a SPF 20+ which is great if you do decide to try this all over your face.
What they same about this product:
Using Beccas The One Perfecting Brush, sweep across face or apply to targeted areas including cheekbones, brow bones, inner corners of the eyes and bridge of nose
So you use Pressed Opal as you would use a normal highlighter by highlighting the areas light naturally hits. In a nutshell that is the tops of your cheekbones, nose bridge and cupid’s bow. I also like to use highlighter on my brow bone.
From the swatches you can see how pigmented this is. The top swatch is a swatch from pan to my arm. The middle is another swipe with what was left on my finger. The third is anything that remained. Just like Spotlight Opal I use Pressed Opal spareingly.
All in all I think both products are great and will last me a long time considering how little I need to use.
Do I think these are worth trying out? If you love highlighter you will likely fall in love with these I’m warning you! Becca Glow On The Go is a great way to try them out before getting the full sizes.
